What is wrong
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2022-2024 Lexus NX250, NX350, NX350 Hybrid, and NX450h+ vehicles. The instrument panel cluster combination meter may fail to display certain warnings or indicators. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."
Why it matters
An instrument panel display that fails to show engine oil pressure, engine coolant temperature, or electrical charge increases the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will update the combination meter software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 7, 2026. Toyota's number for this recall is 26LA10.
Recall repairs are free at the brand's dealers, no matter who owns the car now.
What to do now
- Enter your 17-character VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls – it shows whether this recall is open on your exact car. Your VIN is on the driver-side dashboard (look through the windshield) and on your registration.
- If it is open, call a Lexus dealer to book the free repair. Ask how long parts will take if the remedy is not ready yet.
- A mobile mechanic cannot do recall work – only the brand's dealers can. A mobile mechanic can still check other problems on the car where it is parked.
