About the MobileMechanics.ai News Desk
What we cover, where recall stories come from, how news is sourced and how we correct mistakes.
What we cover
Safety recalls on the cars, trucks and SUVs most people drive, car news that changes what owners pay or do, new models, electric cars, and maintenance that saves money. We write for owners, not for the industry.
Where recall stories come from
Recall stories are built from NHTSA filings – the federal vehicle-safety agency’s recall records and campaign documents. We publish them as they are filed, with the campaign number, the vehicles and model years, the risk, the fix and what to do next. We check every model name against NHTSA’s vehicle list before we publish.
How news stories are written
Every news story links its primary sources: agency data, company statements, court and legislative records, or the study itself. When a story is based on another outlet’s reporting, we say so and link it. Stories are reviewed by an editor before they go live. We do not take payment for coverage and we do not publish sponsored stories.
Dates and updates
Every story shows when it was published. If a story changes in a way that matters, we update it and say what changed.
Corrections
Spotted an error? Email [email protected] with the link and what is wrong. We fix confirmed errors and note the correction on the story.
